The British Independent Pharmacy and Wholesale Association (BIPWA) is in alliance with Patients Before Profit and represents pharmacies and wholesalers together as they are heavily involved in the medicinal supply chain which is vital for the protection of patients. The body is unique in this respect as many pharmacies are now routinely exporting and importing medicines into and out of the UK

BIPWA decided to send a document to every Member of Parliament, outlining the causes and solutions of the perceived drug shortage with a questionnaire attached in order to find out the views of those who run the country.
